The 19th Annual Dining Out for Life event to benefit Open Hand will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
Join the Grape Girls at Cellar 56 in the courtyard from 5:30-8:00pm for a wine tasting, live entertainment and door prizes then stay for dinner!
Dining Out for Life is Open Hand's largest annual fundraising event, when thousands of people from all over the metro Atlanta area will choose their favorite participating restaurant and dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, knowing that 20% or more of their bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit the community nutrition programs of Open Hand.
Your support and participation helps ensure that Open Hand can continue to deliver over 5,400 nutritious meals every day, provide nutrition education, therapy and coaching, and empower our neighbors to live healthy, independent lives.
WINE TASTING:
The wine tasting ends at 8pm.
Tickets are $10 in advance online, $15 at door.

Happy Freedom Day South Africa! Toast with a glass of Pinotage, South Africa's signature grape, at our Dining Out for Life "Sip Around the World" charity wine tasting event this evening at Cellar 56. Freedom Day marks 17 years since the first democratic elections in South Africa on April 27, 1994, which voted the African National Congress and its then-leader, Nelson Mandela, into power.
Meet Jacob Deaton
When Atlanta jazz guitarist Jacob Deaton plays, his guitar is transformed into a mode of transportation, chartered by improvisation, he takes listeners on a musical journey through jazz and blues canons, piercing melodies and modern conceptualization. “Each song has some sort of picture attached,” he said. As he closes his eyes, he sketches out visualizations across the fret board. Enjoy his smooth tunes at Dining Out for Life!
